Matt is a young, emerging composer based in London, working predominantly, but not exclusively on music for media.

​

Born in Cheltenham, UK, Matt went on to study music at Leeds College of Music, Bath Spa University and concluded his studies with a Masters in Composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, graduating with a distinction in 2015. Since picking up a guitar at the age of 13, Matt started writing music and has since developed a fascination in the relationship between music and moving image. His music naturally complements visuals and he takes great care and enjoyment in ensuring his music fits within a projects requirements and creative vision. He is also a talented guitarist, and has extensive experience in music copying/score preparation and regularly teaches.

His background in jazz and consistent interest in cinematic music,  minimalism and ambient music shapes his individual approach and sound. His extensive training in arranging and orchestration allows him to skilfully use colour and texture, and carefully balance acoustic and electronic elements in his work.

Matt is currently working on a debut E.P set for release in Autumn 2017, and is also constantly on the look out for exciting new projects and collaborations. If you have a production which needs professionally produced original music please get in touch.
